Rich fuchsia and bright pink matte transparent glass beads make up the petals of each blossom. The matte finish mimics the velvety texture of a living moth orchid. The color combination and the intricate centers are designed from a study of a living orchid. There are blooms on both sides so this piece shows color from any angle.
The orchid is permanently set in river pebbles in a vintage midcentury McCoy planter.
